Terms of Use

The Squares Game provides software for creating, managing, sharing, and following squares grids. Managers control their grids, player invitations, payment settings, payout rules, and communications.

The app is a management and communication tool. It does not act as a casino, sports book, escrow agent, payment guarantor, legal advisor, tax advisor, or prize administrator for manager-run games.

• Managers are responsible for their own grids, rules, player communications, entry costs, payment instructions, prize descriptions, winner review, refunds, and payouts.
• Managers must comply with all laws, rules, tax obligations, age restrictions, fundraising rules, venue policies, league policies, and payment-network rules that apply to their use.
• Managers must not use the app for unlawful gambling, money laundering, fraud, deceptive promotions, spam, harassment, or any prohibited activity.
• Managers are responsible for resolving payment, prize, refund, chargeback, and player disputes for their grids.
• Managers must only import or message contacts they are allowed to use for game-related communications.

• Players are responsible for reviewing grid rules, costs, payment instructions, prize details, and payout details before reserving squares.
• Players must complete payment using the options provided by the manager and must not misuse invite links, login links, access tokens, or another person's grid access.
• Players should contact the manager first for questions about a specific grid, payment, prize, refund, or winner decision.

Managers may use peer-to-peer payment methods outside the app or Stripe-powered card checkout when enabled. Stripe payments are processed by Stripe and may also be governed by Stripe's terms.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, The Squares Game does not hold player funds, guarantee manager payouts, guarantee player payments, or decide whether a manager owes a player a refund or prize.

Paid manager plans, bundles, platform fees, payment processing fees, cancellations, and refunds are also governed by the payment terms presented at checkout or Stripe connection.

Scores, schedules, teams, game status, and winner displays may depend on third-party data providers. The app is designed to update accurately, but data delays, corrections, outages, or provider changes can occur.

Managers remain responsible for reviewing final grid results, payout events, and winner information before making payouts or announcing final results.

Login and invite links are intended for the recipient only. Keep access links private and notify us if you believe your account or grid access was misused.

We may rate-limit, suspend, revoke, or require fresh authentication when needed to protect accounts, players, grids, payment flows, or the service.

• Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, payment checks, or security controls.
• Do not upload malicious files, scrape the service, overload infrastructure, or interfere with other users.
• Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent a grid, prize, payment method, or affiliation.
• Do not use the app to send unlawful, deceptive, or unwanted communications.

We may update features, pricing, limits, or these Terms over time. We may suspend or restrict use to protect the service, prevent abuse, address security issues, or comply with legal requirements.

We may remove content, disable grids, or close access when we believe use creates legal, payment, security, deliverability, or operational risk.

The service is provided as available. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free scoring data, perfect email delivery, or any particular financial outcome for a manager or player.

To the extent allowed by law, The Squares Game is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for disputes between managers and players over payments, prizes, rules, or payouts.
